Vardaan is a Brookline, MA native and a graduate of the University of Michigan–Ann Arbor, where he earned a B.A. in Economics with High Distinction. At Michigan, he was elected to Phi Beta Kappa and recognized as a James B. Angell Scholar. During his undergraduate studies, Vardaan tutored student-athletes in economics and statistics and co-founded a student-run organization that taught financial literacy to local elementary, middle, and high school students. He has also coached tennis for seven years, working with students of all experience levels in the Ann Arbor and Boston areas.

Since graduating, Vardaan has gained experience working in a financial and strategic role within the precision engineering and aerospace industry. Outside of teaching, he enjoys skiing, golfing, and trying new ice cream shops.

Vardaan draws on his multidisciplinary background across education, athletics, and financial services to help students develop clear frameworks, durable skills, and confidence in their mastery of the material. He emphasizes precision in reasoning and the development of repeatable strategies that can be applied reliably across academic contexts and disciplines.
