History of Livius
1984
Livius Prep (formerly Chyten Test Preparation) opened with a focus on counseling and writing programs.
1995
Multiple centers opened to serve the Boston region. Curriculum developed with a focus on test preparation strategies.
1999
Operating 5 total centers throughout the Boston region.
2004
First franchise developed and launched.
2012
Over 30 franchises developed and launched throughout the country, including locations in California, Arizona, Georgia, South Carolina, North Carolina, Maryland, New Jersey, Connecticut, Pennsylvania, and Minnesota.
2015
Over 1,000 perfect SAT/ACT scores achieved.
2016
Franchise business consolidated in favor of streamlined growth through school partnerships and online programs.
2018
First two years of partnership program completed with efficacy data including 361% SAT score improvement, $30K in student merit-based scholarships, 110% Ivy League acceptance rate increase, and 50% college acceptance improvement.
2020
During the pandemic Livius Prep offered free online SAT/ACT Foundations class and supported thousands of students across the country and the world
2023
Partnership with Boston Public Schools, providing enrichment and college preparedness services for students elementary through high school.
2024
Livius celebrated 40 years of service.
