Catherine Yates is a highly skilled education professional with an expertise in college counseling built over the past twenty-five years. 

She has had extensive experience working as a private college counselor for Livius for the past six years. Prior to that, she worked for ten years as a college/school counselor at Sturgis IB Charter School and Parker Charter School, both in Massachusetts. 

Previously, Catherine held roles at Kaplan in which she worked with high school students and their families guiding students through the college admission process. She completed her graduate assistantship in the Dean’s Office at the Lynch School of Education at Boston College. 

Catherine has had extensive experience empowering students to fully engage in the college search process in order to find a “great fit” school. She helps her students craft compelling applications as they reflect on their priorities, strengths, and aspirations. 

A graduate of Dartmouth College with a major in French and Government and from Boston College’s Lynch School of Education with a Master’s Degree in Higher Education Administration, Catherine has dedicated her career to working with and advocating for high school students.
