Kailai earned his B.S. in Biology from the University of Science and Technology of China, followed by a Ph.D. in Neuroscience from the Institute of Neuroscience at the Chinese Academy of Sciences. After completing his doctoral studies, Kailai spent many years working in the biomedical research field. During that time, he pursued a Master of Public Health degree at UMass Amherst, which led him to transition into the field of biostatistics and epidemiology. He is currently employed as a Clinical Data Manager, where I ensure that the data collected in research trials is high-quality, reliable, and trustworthy.
As a father of three, Kailai enjoys helping his children with their science projects and math homework. He finds problem-solving deeply rewarding, especially when it involves guiding students through academic challenges. His passion for mentorship began during his time as a scientist, when he regularly trained students in the lab and supported them in their research. Kailai is excited to continue using his knowledge and experience to help young learners thrive in their studies.
