Julie Supanekar loves teaching and has always had a passion for helping students grow. She is currently also working at Massachusetts General Hospital in clinical research. She studied Microbiology at The Ohio State University and is attending Boston University’s graduate school, studying Public Health. She has many years of experience tutoring Math, Science and English and has always been passionate in working with individual students to help them grow in the classroom and towards their goals. Long term, she aspires to have a career in academia and teach in the life sciences at the university level.

Julie values taking the time to get to know each of her students individually. She has been a student in classrooms with as many as five hundred students and as few as one and understands how forming and fostering a connection with the teacher/tutor can really enhance a student’s education and growth. Her approach to tutoring is personalized in order to understand how each student best learns (ex. visually, auditorily).

In her free time, Julie enjoys creative writing, going on road trips around the New England area, listening to music (a little bit of every genre), and reading (her favorite genres are fantasy, science fiction, and classical literature).
