Alisa is a recent graduate of Harvard College, where she studied Linguistics, Neuroscience, Music, Philosophy, and Religion. With a strong interdisciplinary foundation, she enjoys helping students make connections across subjects and develop critical thinking skills. She has extensive experience working with high-achieving high school students, particularly in mentoring them through the college application process. From crafting compelling essays to finding the right college fit, Alisa is passionate about guiding students toward their academic goals.

As an immigrant from Ukraine, Alisa learned English as her third language and understands the challenges that come with adapting to a new linguistic and cultural environment. She enjoys working with students from multilingual backgrounds and can provide guidance for those navigating similar experiences, whether as first-generation students or as part of immigrant families.

A skilled writer and editor, Alisa excels at helping students refine their essays, adding voice and clarity to their work. As an Executive Editor for The Harvard Crimson, she oversaw and edited more than 600 articles critically reviewing musical, social, and cultural events. Her deep understanding of humanities disciplines enables her to help students analyze complex ideas, construct persuasive arguments, and develop strong writing skills across subjects.

In addition to her expertise in college admissions and writing, Alisa has a strong STEM background. As an alum of the LEAH Knox Scholars Program and the MGH Youth Research Scholars program, she was actively involved in research from a young age and enjoys mentoring students interested in lab work or medical careers. She also shadowed a physician during her first year of college and can provide insight for students exploring pre-med pathways.

Alisa is also passionate about environmental education and advocacy. She was awarded the prestigious Julian Bond Fellowship, through which she traveled across the West Coast—including California, Alaska, and Hawaii—to meet with organizations at the forefront of the environmental justice movement. Additionally, as an alum of Tidelines Institute, Outward Bound, and Deer Hill, she has a deep appreciation for experiential learning and outdoor leadership.

During her time in Boston Latin School, Alisa played violin in the orchestra, was a track athlete, president of the pre-med club, and a member of the National Honor Society while excelling in multiple AP courses. She enjoys helping students develop time management strategies and balance rigorous academics with extracurriculars. She also honed her public speaking skills as a student tour guide at Harvard, where she answered countless college admissions questions.

Alisa is AHA CPR and First Aid certified and is currently preparing for law school, where she hopes to focus on environmental law. She is excited to support students in reaching their full potential, both academically and beyond.
