Livius in Lexington
Our Lexington center has been a community staple for more than 25 years, and we’re proud to serve new and returning students here each year.
Our expert tutors understand the unique challenges students face as they complete high school and prepare for college, especially given the rapidly changing academic landscape in response to the COVID-19 pandemic. You can learn more about our in-center health and safety measures here.
As student advocates and academic liaisons, we recognize that a key factor in successful tutoring includes the connections we foster with our students and families. This is true whether our instructors are working with students across the table or meeting for a virtual session.
For over 35 years we’ve honed our programs and practices to meet the evolving needs of college-bound students, beginning with academic support that benefits young learners. We offer private and small-group tutoring for SAT prep, ACT prep, general academics, AP exams, private school entrance exams, and college admission.
In addition, we’ve developed free online classes and programs to ensure all students, no matter where they are, can benefit from targeted test prep and college admission support.
Our Lexington center serves students from high schools across the community, including Lexington High, Bedford High, Minuteman Regional, and Lexington Christian Academy, as well as students from surrounding schools in Burlington, Cambridge, Bedford, Belmont, Waltham, and the greater Boston area.

Jenn, Livius Tutoring Parent
"Livius has been prepping my son for ACTs this coming July. Hoping that we can improve by about 3 points. Looks like we are on track. I would highly recommend. Alex our tutor has been great!!"
LC, Livius ACT Parent
"Our daughter’s ACT score went from a composite 24 to 29 in less than 30 hours of one-on-one tutoring. Her science went from a 22 to a 31, with similar improvements across 3 of the 4 test areas. She is not a natural test-taker but needed to take the ACT for admission to the colleges of her choice. Our tutor not only taught our daughter how to approach the mechanics of the ACT, but she learned the material thoroughly."
