The SAT Breakdown
The SAT tests students’ level of college readiness. High school students take this test, or the other college readiness exam, the ACT, to demonstrate their eligibility for college admissions, scholarships, and placement in freshman year of college courses.
A near perfect score can be a door opener for students. Admission and scholarship boards use college readiness test scores as a standard measure to enhance the fairness of the evaluation.
